Stress is not something that anyone wants to live with, especially on a daily basis. Thankfully, there are several ways to reduce your stress that do not have anything to do with surgery or medication!

Here, we have listed the 7 Best Ways to Relieve Stress

1. STAY (OR GET) ACTIVE
Being active is proven, chemically, to release some of the stress in your life. No matter what it is, even if it's just a few small stretches or a 15-minute walk around the neighborhood every day, get up and get moving!

2. MEDITATE
Say what you want about Meditation but it is scientifically proven to reduce stress in ones life. By meditating, you can connect to the things in your life that are most stressing you out and you may just find a way to tackle them, once and for all. Meditation is also a perfect way to calm the mind and even the body!

3. GET ENOUGH SLEEP
Your body and mind alike need the rest for a healthy balance at life.  A good rule of thumb is to get at least 8 hours of sleep every night, while not falling asleep too late and not waking up too late into the afternoon, either. This nasty habit can cause more stress in different ways.

4. COOK AT HOME
A homecooked meal, for whatever reason, has a sense of "child" to it and is found to link back to a less stressful life. In addition, cooking at home is typically much healthier than eating at a restaurant and healthy eating is also linked to a less stressful life.

5. ELIMINATE STRESSFUL SITUATIONS
Of course, we would all love it if we could eliminate ourselves from every single stressful situation that this world could possibly throw at us, but it just doesn't work that way. Sometimes even our job can be the thing that causes us the most stress. However, there are ways to diminish the number of stressful situations we put ourselves in. For example, going out to a bar every night (or even once a week) is not a healthy environment. Try replacing that with something like the library, a place that feels rewarding when you leave!

6. KEEP A JOURNAL
Keeping a journal may leave you wondering, "how is this going to relieve stress in my life", and that's a good question.
Journaling can track habits, making it easier to break the more negative ones, leaving room to add in more positive ones. It also gives you a physical sense of self-growth and self-awareness. With these two things, your mind can work wonders!

7. REDUCE CAFFEINE AND SUGARS
Scientifically it has been proven that such substances as caffeine and sugar can speed up your heart rate causing immense and unwarranted stress. Try switching your 2 cups of coffee to 1 a day, or maybe switching to decaf. As for sugars, instead of a candy bar or soda, try some fresh fruit. Fruit is sweet like candy and, although it has a high amount of sugar as well, these sugars are good for body.
