    John Najjar, an executive stylist and original co-designer of the ‘stang, was a huge fan of the WWII P-51 Mustang fighter plane. Ford Motor Company adopted the name and the rest is history.

    $3,447.50. Today, this car is worth $350,000-$450,000 and it still belongs to its original owners, Tom and Gail Wise of Detroit, Michigan!

  • What cars were Mustang’s first competitors?


    The Plymouth Barracuda, the AMC Javelin and the Rambler American 440 (pictured), although none of them stood a chance against the Mustang.

    Phil Clark, a designer who started at Ford in 1962, worked on the design team and passed away in 1968 at the age of 32.

    This one rests in the hands of the generation, however, in my humble opinion, the 1965 Shelby Mustang GT-350

  • What is the most iconic Movie Mustang of all time?




    Again, depending on what generation you're coming from, the 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 “Eleanor” from “Gone in Sixty Seconds” or, possibly, the ’68 Mustang GT driven by Steve McQueen in the movie “Bullit”.

  • What were the 3 best selling years for Mustang?



    The 1966 with 607,500 sales, the 1965 with 559,500 sales and the 1967 with 472,000 sales.

    Not many – only 151,484!

    Adelbert Engler has a collection of over 5,500 Mustangs. Other than a dozen or less full size cars, the collection is made up of plastic models and die-cast miniatures.
